Researching the Art Movement of Surrealism

Vladimir Kush - Butterfly Apple

This image is painted by the Russian artist, Vladimir Kush, the image portrays an apple whose cross-section is a white butterfly, showing the seeds as a part of the wings. The apple indeed shows surrealism as butterfly apples have never existed naturally.

The image does indeed exhibit some parts of the original surrealist manifesto, to challenge rationalism, expresses irrationalism and ill-logic.  The image also displays shapes to aid in imagery which motivates ideas in your unconscious mind.

My picture is related to the painting in this article. as both exhibit apples with illogical and unnatural fillings, one being a butterfly, the other being brick walls. Both defy standard human reasoning and logic, thus being surrealist.
